Shallow Water Pipeline Installation Project Completed in Atchafalaya Bay

Morrison’s Marine division recently completed a pipeline installation project for Apache in the Atchafalaya Bay area, where we laid approximately 15 miles of a dual 12″ pipelines and 4 miles of a 20″ pipeline.  There were multiple unique aspects of this project, one of which was our ability to perform mid-point tie ins, eliminating several dozen flanges from the system.

The project was located in a wildlife management area in water depths as shallow as 1 foot and was completed without environmental impact.  Also, per Apache’s request, crew members were recognized for their commitment to safety.
