Morrison Sponsors The Ronald McDonald House Cup of Houston

For the 5th consecutive year, MORRISON proudly sponsored The Ronald McDonald House cup of Houston, a golf tournament benefiting the Houston chapter of the Ronald McDonald House. The event took place on Monday, March 18 at the BlackHorse Golf Club in Cypress, Texas.

“It’s a privilege to continue to support such an important organization that helps so many families remain close to their children while receiving treatments,” said Kelly Reeves, vice president of marketing at MORRISON.   “Last year the event raised more than $275,000 for RMH Houston.”

The Ronald McDonald House is an organization that was started in Philadelphia in 1974 that provides safe havens for critically ill children and their families. Through community donations and fundraising events like the Ronald McDonald House Cup, houses have been built across the nation that temporarily house families with children being treated at local hospitals. Today, there are more than 300 Ronald McDonald Houses around the world, all of which are operated solely by donations.

The Houston chapter, founded in 1978, has designed and developed multiple houses in the area, and works alongside local hospitals to provide terminally ill children a comfortable, safe and reliable home away from home. The Ronald McDonald House Cup serves as one of the major fundraising events for the organization, and all proceeds go to maintaining the currently operating homes – as well as providing additional fundraising for potential new spaces as needed.
