Drawing on the strengths of each of the partners, Foss’s vast and long heritage of operating offshore vessels, Haugland’s expertise in HV terminations, jointing, and fiber optic splicing, and Morrison’s diving, fabrication and offshore engineering and installation experience, FHM Cable Services offers an unparalleled level of service to the fast-growing US Renewable Energy sector.
Bringing together the specialties of each partner will provide access to fully mobilized US flagged cable installation and repair vessels that will be operated by experienced personnel from FHM Cable Services US workforce. Answering the call to create US Supply Chain solutions by which all FHM Cable Services offerings are fully compliant with US Federal and State regulations.
The companies firmly believe FHM Cable Services is essential as the Tier 1 cable installers and windfarm developers realize their project build out ambitions. FHM Cable Services offers a much-needed solution to the near shore cable installation requirement where the larger cable installation vessels cannot operate due to water depth restrictions. In addition, FHM Cable Services offers full cable Operations, Maintenance and Repair (OM&R) services for the duration of the windfarm’s lifespan ensuring a generation of clean offshore wind energy that will be transported to shore with minimal disruption.
To complement the near shore installation and cable repair activities, FHM Cable Services will also offer a full suite of array cable installation support services. Vessels such as CTV’s and SOV’s will support the main array cable installation vessel and US workforce cable pull-in teams and equipment. Upon completion of the installation of cables to the foundations FHM Cable Services offers US workforce termination and testing teams to complete the array cable installation process and energize the windfarm ready for producing clean energy to power US homes and industry.
