Iguana platform installation

IGUANA FIELD DEVELOPMENT

Gulf of Paria, Trinidad

The Iguana Field was undeveloped for 34 years before DeNovo became the operator in 2016.  Through this project, the Iguana Field became the first marginal natural gas field to be developed in Trinidad and Tobago, and the first gas development campaign offshore Trinidad’s west coast. It now delivers 80 million cubic feet of gas per day offshore Trinidad and Tobago to the gas processing facility onshore.

DeNovo’s leadership team identified the need for an EPC solution provider that would give them financial assurance to work within their budget and fast-track the project delivery. In late 2016, MORRISON took over the FEED and began working with DeNovo to lead the project.

FABRICATION, INSTALLATION AND MECHANICAL COMPLETION OF:

  • A Conductor Support Platform (CSP)
  • Offshore subsea pipeline and platform tie-in
  • Pipeline shore crossing and onshore connection for gas processing
  • Final pre-commissioning and commission of integrated systems

Chet Morrison, CEO, commented, “Tailoring the equipment to the specific demands of this milestone project, we provided an optimized solution. Our team also applied rigorous problem-solving techniques to complete a complex and challenging shore approach. Working with a compressed schedule, our flexibility and adaptability enabled us to design and secure Trinidad’s first gas-to-market in an accelerated fashion.”  READ MORE

"Partnering with Morrison enabled DeNovo to successfully deliver this first fast-track development in Trinidad and Tobago with technical excellence. The high-risk shore crossing through an environmentally sensitive area was safely managed, exceeding the expectation of the regulatory agencies."
